How to watch two Gamecocks football commits in nationally-televised game this weekend
Two South Carolina football commitments will get some national TV exposure this weekend.
Vincent Murphy and Jahmar Brown, class of 2019 commitments, will be in action Saturday when their St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) squad takes on Dematha (Md.) at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. St. Thomas is ranked No. 7 in USA Today’s Super 25 poll.
The game is part of GEICO ESPN High School Football Kickoff, which features seven games Friday through Sunday.
Murphy, 6-foot-3, 285 pounds, is a three-star prospect by 247Sports and the sixth-ranked center in the country. He committed to USC on Feb. 3.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Brown also is a three-star by 247Sports and ranked as the 36th-best outside linebacker in the country. He committed to the Gamecocks on May 24.
St. Thomas Aquinas has eight players ranked ESPN 300and ESPN Jr. 300, four in each class. The Gamecocks’ recruiting class is currently 16th nationally by 247Sports.
