No. 1 South Carolina women’s basketball announces fourth sellout of season
The Gamecocks have officially sold out four women’s basketball games in one season for the first time in program history.
USC announced Friday that its athletics ticket office had declared the upcoming home game on Feb. 18 versus Georgia a sellout. It’s the fourth sellout this season and fourth Sunday sellout in a row, joining last Sunday’s game versus Ole Miss, the previous Sunday’s game versus Vanderbilt and this Sunday’s home game versus No. 11 UConn.
According to a school release, “University faculty/staff will still be able to use their Carolina Card to gain admission on a first-come, first-served basis, and a limited number of student tickets are still available to be claimed.”
The game marks the 13th sellout of the 18,000-seat Colonial Life Arena in program history.
Dawn Staley’s No. 1 South Carolina team (22-0) will face off with UConn Sunday at 2 p.m. on ESPN.
