No. 1 South Carolina women’s basketball announces fifth and final sellout of season
The No. 1 Gamecocks will close out the 2023-24 regular season Sunday in front of a program-record fifth sellout crowd at Colonial Life Arena this year.
USC announced Friday that its athletics ticket office had declared the upcoming home game versus Tennessee a sellout. It joins home games versus Georgia, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and UConn. The Gamecocks lead the NCAA in attendance, currently averaging 16,381 fans per home game.
According to a school release, “University faculty/staff will still be able to use their Carolina Card to gain admission on a first-come, first-served basis, and a limited number of student tickets are still available to be claimed.”
The game marks the 14th sellout of the 18,000-seat Colonial Life Arena in program history.
Dawn Staley’s No. 1 South Carolina team (28-0, 15-0) will face off with Tennessee Sunday at noon on ESPN. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. to accommodate for the large crowd.
USC will honor seniors Te-Hina Paopao, Kamilla Cardoso and Sakima Walker in a pregame ceremony, starting at approximately 11:40 a.m.. Should the Gamecocks emerge victorious, they would achieve the program’s second ever undefeated regular season (first accomplished in 2022-23)
