On Sunday, No. 1 South Carolina will learn its postseason path.

In the meantime, ESPN’s bracketology (as of Friday) for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament has undefeated USC as the No. 1 overall seed playing the winner of the First Four game between Presbyterian and UT Martin in the Round of 64.

The Gamecocks will host the first two rounds of March Madness at Colonial Life Arena. ESPN’s projections have No. 8 seed Nebraska and No. 9 seed Kansas playing in Columbia.

The Gamecocks are slotted for the Albany 1 (New York) region, as the NCAA Tournament’s two-site format continues for a second straight year. The other regional pod is in Portland, Oregon.

Other top seeds in South Carolina’s region include Ohio State (No. 2), Oregon State (No. 3) and Virginia Tech (No. 4).

ESPN’s other projected No. 1 seeds are Southern Cal in Portland 4, Iowa in Albany 2, Stanford in Portland 3. With Iowa on the opposite side of the bracket from South Carolina, the two teams could have a rematch of last year’s Final Four game in the national championship.

South Carolina is one of eight SEC teams projected to make the tournament (LSU, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee), which is the second most of any conference behind the ACC with nine.
