Laeticia Amihere will be available to make her WNBA season debut Monday after the former Gamecock was signed by the Golden State Valkyries over the weekend.

Amihere is no stranger to the organization, which is an expansion team in their first year of competition.

She originally signed with the Valkyries on Feb. 6 and went through training camp with the team. She averaged 17.4 minutes, 12.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per game on 60% shooting in the Valkyries’ two preseason games. Amihere even recorded recorded 20 points in 19 minutes during Golden State’s first preseason game.

She did not make the final roster and was waived a few days before the 2025 season started in May, despite the strong showing.

Amihere will wear No. 3 with the Valkyries and will be available to play in Golden State’s game versus the Los Angeles Sparks on Monday at 10 p.m. Eastern.

She was initially drafted out of South Carolina by the Atlanta Dream with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft. Amihere averaged two points and 1.3 rebounds across 37 games in her two full seasons with the Dream before she was released in February.
