Gamecock great A’ja Wilson highlighted in new WNBA docuseries. Here’s how to watch

South Carolina women’s basketball legend A’ja Wilson will be featured in a docuseries that premiers later this month.

The new ESPN Original docuseries titled Life in the W follows Wilson, Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier and Phoenix Mercury star DeWanna Bonner throughout the 2025 WNBA season. The six-episode series premiers on Friday, July 24 on the 30th anniversary of the WNBA’s All-Star weekend.

“A lot of people see what we do on the court, but this is a chance to show everything that comes with it: the work, the sacrifice, the joy, and the sisterhood,” Wilson said in a release. “I’m so proud to be part of this project and allow viewers to connect with who we are beyond basketball.”

The series, which is produced in part by LeBron James’ UNINTERRUPTED, follows Wilson and her WNBA peers as they “navigate pivotal moments in their professional and personal lives amid the continued rise of women’s sports,” per a release.

Each of the episodes will be available on the ESPN app for ESPN Select plan subscribers on July 24. If you aren’t a subscriber, don’t fret. The first two episodes will premier at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2 on July 24. Episodes 1-4 will be on ESPN2 starting at 5 p.m. on July 25. Finally, episodes 1-6 will be on ESPN2 at 5 p.m. on July 26.

A’ja Wilson in the WNBA

The 2025 season was a monumental one for Wilson.

Wilson won her third WNBA title with the Las Vegas Aces and became the first player in league history to win four MVP awards. She also became the only player in WNBA history to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal in a season. Wilson earned her sixth All-WNBA selection and won her her third Defensive Player of the Year award in 2025.

To top it all off, Wilson’s numbers are even better so far in 2026.

Wilson earned her eighth all-star selection last week and will start in the league’s all-star game later this month. Wilson is leading the WNBA with 26.1 points per game is also averaging 9.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, two bocks and 1.6 steals per game.
