Update: Masters champ Spieth talks about Heritage plans
Masters champion Jordan Spieth, fresh off his record-setting Masters victory Sunday, arrived Wednesday at Harbour Town Golf Links, where he will make his third career start in the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing this week. He will tee up in Thursday’s opening round without having played a single practice hole since his win in Augusta.
Nonetheless, Spieth set high expectations for his Heritage start
Incidentally, he said he never considered not coming to Harbour Town: The Heritage gave him an exemtpion two years ago when he did not have full PGA Tour status, and he said that gesture was not forgotten.
Here is reaction on social media to Spieth’s win and an accounting of what he’s been up to since Sunday.
Spieth will attempt to become just the second golfer to win the Masters and Heritage in consecutive weeks. Watch the slideshow below to learn the history of Masters champs at Harbour Town Golf Links. (For the best viewing experience, watch the slideshow in full-screen mode.)
