Meet The State’s 2025 Midlands all-area high school softball team

A look at The State’s all-area softball team and Players of the Year from Midlands-area high schools for the 2025 season.

——First Team ——

Kaley Anderson, Gray Collegiate: Senior hit .521 with six home runs and 41 RBIs. Anderson signed with Converse College.

Addison Bittner, North Central: Senior shortstop hit .382 with four home runs and 15 RBIs. Bittner was a Class 2A All-State selection picked to play in the North-South All-Star game. Bittner is signed to play volleyball at Coker.

Ashlyn Blackstone, White Knoll: Senior first baseman hit .452 with a home run and 32 RBIs. Blackstone was a Class 5A Division I All-State selection and signed with Columbia College.

Kaylan Boudreau, Gray Collegiate: Senior catcher hit .495 with three home runs and 39 RBIs. Boudreau signed to play at Tallahassee State.

Aspen Boulware, Gray Collegiate: Sophomore shortstop hit .573 with a school-record 22 home runs, 44 RBIs and 26 stolen bases. Boulware was Region 5-4A Player of Year, Class 4A All-State selection, 4A Player of the Year and S.C. Gatorade Softball Player of the Year.

Makenzie Brown, Gilbert: Senior outfielder hit .423 with 23 RBIs. Brown was a North-South All-Star selection.

Sam Craig, Lexington: Senior shortstop hit .592 with a home run and 41 RBIs. Craig was Region 4-5A Player of Year, 5A Division I All-State selection and signed to play at Gardner-Webb.

Reagan Haggard, Chapin: Junior third baseman hit . 413 with four home runs and 29 RBIs.

Peyton Hendrix, Gray Collegiate: Sophomore P/2B was 11-0 with a 1.48 ERA and 83 strikeouts in 63.1 innings. At the plate, Hendrix hit .365 with 20 RBIs.

Keeley Hughes, Blythewood: Senior third baseman hit .479 with 12 doubles, two home runs and 24 RBIs.

Avery Ingram, Airport: Senior catcher hit .400 with nine home runs and 30 RBIs. Ingram was a Class 4A All-State selection and signed with Newberry College.

Stephanie Jones, Ben Lippen: Senior pitcher was 10-7 with 150 strikeouts in 97.1 innings pitched. At the plate Jones hit. 483 with eight doubles and 26 RBIs. She was SCISA 1-4A Player of the Year.

Garner Lanford, AC Flora: Junior OF/P hit . 449 with a home run and 32 RBIs. As a pitcher, she was 9-3 with 90 strikeouts and 2.79 ERA.

Miller Martin, Saluda: Eighth-grade pitcher was 18-4 with a 0.78 ERA and 238 strikeouts in 144 innings. At the plate, she hit .369 with a home run and 25 RBIs. Martin was a Class 2A All-State selection.

Mackenzie Melton, North Central: Sophomore P/SS was 12-6 with a 1.37 ERA and 202 strikeouts in 128 innings pitched. At the plate, she hit .368 with four triples and 13 RBIs. Melton was a Class 2A All-State selection.

Payton Melinauskas, Lexington: Senior center fielder hit .531 with 10 doubles, six triples and 23 RBIs. Melinauskas was a North-South All-Star selection and signed with Florence-Darlington Tech.

Carley Melton, Gilbert: Junior catcher hit .534 with four triples, three home runs and 38 RBIs.

Ainsley Minchew, Gilbert: Ninth-grade pitcher went 23-3 with a 0.62 ERA, five no-hitters and 256 strikeouts in 134.1 innings. At the plate, she hit .333 with two home runs and 36 RBIs. Minchew was a Class 4A All-State selection.

Savanna Padgett, Pelion: Freshman hit. 471 with nine doubles, five home runs and 28 RBI.

Pressli Reynolds, A.C. Flora: Ninth grade SS/P hit .477 with seven home runs and 37 RBIs. As a pitcher, she was 12-2 with a 2.24 ERA and 108 strikeouts. Reynolds was Region 3-4A Position Player of Year and Class 4A All-State selection.

Gabi Riddle, Mid-Carolina: Senior P/SS hit . 417 with four home runs, 24 RBIs. As a pitcher, she was 5-3 with a 3.02 ERA. Riddle was a Class 2A All-State selection and picked to play in the North-South All-Star game.

Mackenzie Sease, Gray Collegiate: Freshman P/1B was 8-2 with a 0.82 ERA and 119 strikeouts in 67.2 innings pitched. Sease also hit .400 with four home runs and 23 RBIs.

Jayme Sheaffer, Saluda: Senior first baseman hit . 460 with three home runs and 27 RBIs. Sheaffer was a Class 2A All-State selection and signed with Columbia College.

Ella Sheorn, Lugoff-Elgin: Senior hit. 471 with five triples and 10 RBIs. Sheorn was a North-South All-Star selection.

Livi Warren, Lexington: Junior outfielder hit .482 with five home runs and 38 RBIs. Warren was a Class 5A Division I All-State selection and committed to play at Gardner-Webb.

Rhames Weisinger, Blythewood: Sophomore catcher hit. 425 with a home run and 28 RBIs. Weisinger was Region 3-5A Defensive Player of the Year and Class 5A Division I All-State selection.

Haydin Williams, Camden: Senior hit .485 with 15 RBIs. Williams was a Class 4A All-State selection signed to play at Southern Wesleyan.
