Here are The State’s 2025-26 Midlands all-area high school boys basketball teams

The are The State’s all-area boys basketball teams from Midlands-area high schools for the 2025-26 season.

Top honors

The State’s Player of the Year: D’Marcus Thomas, Westwood

Player of the Year (fan vote): RJ Davis, Ridge View

The State’s Coach of the Year: Trent Robinson, Westwood

Coach of the Year (fan vote): Joshua Staley, Ridge View

Boys Basketball All-Area Team

First Team

Levi Ball, Gray Collegiate: All-State and Carolinas Classic selection averaged 16.5 points, 7 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2 blocks this season. Ball signed to play at Kennesaw State.

Justus Bell, Dutch Fork: All-State and Carolinas Classic selection averaged 21 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists this season. Bell signed to play at USC Aiken.

Antoine Caughman, Keenan: Sophomore was All-State selection and averaged 15 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 1 block

Jayden Crews, Westwood: All-State and North-South selection averaged 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Crews signed with Converse.

RJ Davis, Ridge View: Sophomore was all-state selection and averaged 15.2 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 2.1 assists in helping the Blazers to the Class 5A Division I state championship.

Aissacc Germany, CA Johnson: Senior was all-state selection and averaged 15 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

Milton McCray, CA Johnson: Junior was Class A Player of Year and averaged 18 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 1.6 blocks.

CJ Moore, Ridge View: Sophomore was all-state selection and averaged 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Kolton Rogers, Pelion: Senior all-state selection averaged 18.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists this season.

Jackson Ross, Hammond: Junior was SCISA 1-4A Co-Player of Year and averaged 25 points 8.5 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks per game this season.

CJ Springs, Saluda: Senior was Class 2A All-State selection and averaged 25 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals this season.

Braysen Stockman, Ben Lippen: Senior was SCISA 1-4A Co-Player of Year and averaged 28.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 3.3 steals per game. Stockman finished his career with 2,968 points and is committed to Emmanuel College.

D’Marcus Thomas, Westwood: Senior was All-State and North-South selection and averaged 23.6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists per game in helping the Redhawks to the Class 5A Division II state championship. Thomas signed with Southern Wesleyan.

Second Team

Christian Brown, Irmo: Junior averaged 16.3 points per game this season for Yellow Jackets.

Braylen Davis, Batesburg-Leesville: Junior averaged 19.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals.

Bradyn Francis, Chapin: Senior averaged 14.6 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals per game. Francis signed with Lees-McRae.

Samajae Govan, Dutch Fork: Junior was all-state selection and averaged 17 points, 3 assists, 2 steals per game.

Mario James, Lower Richland: Senior was Region 5-4A Defensive Player of the Year and averaged 15.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.4 steals.

Peyton Jennings, White Knoll: Junior averaged 18.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.1 assists this season.

AJ Jeter, Newberry: Senior all-state selection averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds per game.

Jayden Lewis, Camden: Eighth grader was all-state selection and averaged 14 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds.

Tony Odom, CA Johnson: Senior averaged 16.9 points, 4.5 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals this season.

Justin Richburg, American Leadership: Senior averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals this season.

Talan Staley, Ridge View: Senior was Carolinas Classic selection and averaged 14.3 points, 6.1 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.

DJ Wylie, Ridge View: Junior averaged 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.3 assists per game.
