Jackson Browne to perform at Township Auditorium

Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne announced Tuesday a 2016 solo acoustic tour that includines a Jan. 11 stop at Columbia’s Township Auditorium.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will perform songs from his entire body of work, which began in the early 1970s and spans 14 studio albums. Some of his well-known songs are “Running on Empty,” “Somebody’s Baby” and “Take It Easy,” the Eagles hit he wrote with Glenn Frey.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Township Auditorium Box Office, 1703 Taylor St., 803-576-2356 or at www.thetownship.org/

Following his Columbia show, Browne will play at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Jan. 13 and the Johnny Mercer Theater in Savannah, Ga. on Jan. 14.
