Aloe Blacc to play at SC State Fair
Grammy nominated Aloe Blacc will kickoff the South Carolina State Fair’s concert lineup at noon Oct. 12, opening day.
Aloe Blacc is playing for Rachel Platten, who announced last week she was cancelling her concert at the fair, the fair announced Tuesday.
The “Wake Me Up” singer’s third solo album “Lift Your Spirit” pushes the rapper-turned-singer further into a folk/soul/pop fusion that’s both joyful and eye-opening in message.
“We are excited to add such a talented and dynamic artist to our lineup,” said fair general manager “We always strive to offer our patrons a mix of genres with our lineup.”
Others playing at the fair include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Oct. 14; Dustin Lunch, Oct. 17; Alabama, Oct. 19; for King & Country, Oct. 21; and Kirk Franklin, Oct. 23.
Tickets go on sale online at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 at www.SCStateFair.org.
The fair runs Oct. 12-23.
