Miss Clemson is crowned Miss South Carolina
Miss Clemson Rachel Wyatt of Piedmont was crowned Miss South Carolina Saturday night in Columbia after a week of preliminary rounds at The Township.
The 21-year-old Piedmont resident attends Clemson University. She performed a jazz dance in the talent competition Saturday night.
Wyatt, was also Miss SC Teen and Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2013.
She will compete in the Miss America Pageant September 11, 2016 in Atlantic City.
Miss Clemson Teen Makayla Stark of Inman was crowned Friday night as Miss SC Teen.
Runners-up for the title of Miss South Carolina are:
First runner up: Miss Coastal Islands, Suzi Roberts
Second runner up: Miss North Greenville University, Christal Potter
Third runner up: Miss Spartanburg, Anna Mills Polatty
Fourth runner up: Miss Columbia, Sydney Ford
Rounding out the top 10 are:
Miss Coastal Carolina University, Shelby Dangerfield
Miss Hilton Head Island, Anna Brown
Miss Lyman, Ariel Blackwood
Miss SC Sweet Potato Festival, Chelsea Bullock
Miss Charleston Southern University, Amelia McCulloch
