I-26 lane reversal over, traffic operating normally

Gov. Nikki Haley reported traffic lanes on Interstate 26 eastbound and westbound are now operating normally.

Reversal of eastbound lanes from Charleston to Columbia has ended and the S.C. Highway Patrol is clearing the road, according to the S.C. Department of Transportation.

No traffic will be allowed on the eastbound lanes until the clearing is complete, DOT said.

S.C. Department of Public Safety advised that all lanes of I-26 should be back to normal around midday Friday.
