Vigil held Saturday night at SC State House for Charlottesville victims

The group Indivisible Midlands held a vigil Saturday night at the South Carolina State House for the victims of the events earlier in the day in Charlottesville, Virginia.

One person was killed and as many as 19 others were injured when a car plowed into a crowd of demonstrators who were gathered to protest a rally by white nationalists.

“Citizens in Columbia will peacefully gather at the Statehouse at 8:30pm for an emergency flashlight vigil,” the organizers said in their Facebook post on Saturday.
