The search for a father who went missing in Lake Murray Friday, leaving his 4-year-old daughter alone in the boat, will enter its fourth day Tuesday.

Three days of searching with boats, a plane and sonar equipment have turned up nothing for crews looking for 35-year-old Durham Alexander DeLaura. The father and former Columbia firefighter is believed to have fallen out of his 15-foot boat Friday evening after leaving Sandy Beach on Bundrick Island, officials have said. His 4-year-old daughter was found alone in the boat when it drifted to shore.

After Monday, the search will no longer include sonar, but crews will continue the surface and air search “until they make a recovery,” according to Capt. Robert McCullough of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources. The search has focused in the area of the lake around Bundrick Island and Panorama Point, where the water reaches depths of 100 feet or more, McCullough said. Crews

The search was expected to continue until dark Monday and resume Tuesday morning.
