Ex-boyfriend wanted in killings of father, daughter in Richland County, sheriff said

An ex-boyfriend is being sought in Saturday’s shooting deaths of a woman and her father at a Northeast Richland home.

Willie Jermone Wilson, 25, is wanted on two counts of murder, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said in a news release Sunday.

Just before 9 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 100 block of Brandon Hall Road, in a quiet Northeast Richland subdivision, after a male was found lying on the front lawn of a residence, and a female was found in a home next door. EMS pronounced both dead at the scene, a sheriff’s department spokesman said Saturday.

Neither had been identified as of Sunday afternoon, though coroner Gary Watts said Saturday both died as a result of complications from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Lott said Wilson, who was an ex-boyfriend of the female victim, forced his way into the home through the rear door, where he shot his ex-girlfriend and her father. The sheriff added that this has been an ongoing domestic dispute between Wilson and the victims.

Lott said Wilson has several vehicles and may be driving a beige or tan Chevrolet Malibu, grey Ford Mustang, burgundy Challenger SC tag MLU621, or a red Chevrolet Camaro with SC tag LCK994.
