She went to Wal-Mart with $900 cash. It took just a moment to lose it
Columbia police responded to Wal-Mart on Garners Ferry Road after a woman reported that her wallet, containing nine $100 bills, as stolen Sunday.
The incident happened between noon and 1 p.m., according to the incident report. The woman told law enforcement that while she was shopping, an unknown person took her wallet from her cart.
“The victim realized that she no longer had her property when she finished shopping,” responding officer Charles Starling wrote in the report.
