Husband and wife killed in Thursday night Richland County shooting
The man and woman shot to death Thursday night in northeast Richland County were identified by Richland County Coroner Gary Watts as a husband and wife.
Aaron L. Collins, 40, and Sydni McMillan Collins, 46, both died at Palmetto Health Richland from gunshot wounds to the upper body , Watts said. The shooting took place at 9:45 p.m. at 7720 Parklane Road, Watts said.
Richland County deputies responded to reports of a shooting near Parklane Road and Claudia Drive around 10 p.m. to find that two people had been shot and a third person who was injured from an accident that occurred in the roadway during the incident, said Sgt Brittany Jackamonis of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
No other details about the incident have been released.
Sydni Collins’ Facebook page says she graduated from Spring Valley High School and the University of South Carolina.
