1 killed, 1 injured in Richland County shooting

One person was killed and another injured in a Sunday shooting in the St. Andrews area, according to sheriff’s officials.

Two people were shot on St. Andrews Road, and one of the victims died, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Monday morning. The agency previously said Sunday that one person was shot and hospitalized.

The victim’s identity will be released by the Richland County Coroner’s Office after the next of kin is notified.

The sheriff’s department has not yet released details about the fatal double-shooting, including a possible motive.
