Two men were shot, one getting life-threatening injuries, during an incident Thursday night on Greenlake Drive near Unity Missionary Baptist Church, according to a Richland County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.

Deputies were called at about 7 p.m. to the area where they found one man shot in the upper body, spokeswoman Katie Jasak said. The man, who's condition is currently unknown, was taken to Palmetto Health Richland.

A second man was brought to a nearby hospital by a family member, Jasak said. His injuries were non-life threatening.

Investigators believe there was an argument that got physical in the area, Jasak said. Multiple shots were fired, and the men ran across the street.

Deputies currently do not have a suspect and are still working to get a possible description.
