Coroner identifies man shot to death near Bluff Road
Officials named the victim who died in a fatal shooting near Bluff Road and Interstate 77 earlier this week.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Darrell Richardson, 33, of Tavineer Drive died Tuesday night after he was shot near his home, according to a news release from Watts’ office.
Richardson was transported by EMS to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital and died around 7:30 p.m. in the emergency department.
An autopsy performed on Richardson indicated he died from complications of a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate.
