USC cancels class in response to Hurricane Matthew
The University of South Carolina's downtown Columbia campus will close Wednesday in preparation for Hurricane Matthew.
USC expects classes to remain canceled the rest of the week, according to a news release sent Tuesday afternoon.
USC officials are working “to find flexible and creative ways to make up for the lost classroom time,” the release said.
