Clemson’s crowded quarterback room is getting a little less crowded.

Tigers redshirt freshman quarterback Zerrick Cooper is set to transfer, the school announced Friday morning on Twitter.

Cooper served as a backup to Kelly Bryant this past season, alongside Hunter Johnson.

The Georgia native played in seven games this past season, completing 25 of 41 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 18 yards.

Clemson is still loaded at quarterback with Bryant, Johnson and five-star quarterback signee Trevor Lawrence expected to compete for the starting job.
