Couch recruited Trey Cumbie, a first-team All-American in 2017, three freshman All-Americans in 2016 and brought in a top-35 class in 2015.
He was also the team's hitting and offensive coach, recruiting coordinator and he also performed administrative duties, including travel and scheduling.
Couch, who is from Charlotte, had also been an assistant coach at Louisiana Lafayette and Texas and as a scout with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
