Former Gamecocks running back Brandon Wilds made it to final roster cuts with the Atlanta Falcons to start the year. Then he caught on with the New York Jets practice squad.

He finally got the call to the roster Wednesday.

NJ.com’s Darryl Slater reported Wilds was promoted from the practice squad, along with fellow running back Khiry Robinson getting signed.

In Columbia, Wilds flashed his talents while consistently battling injuries. The 6-foot, 220-pounder ran for 1,844 yards and 13 touchdowns during his Gamecocks career, including a few dynamic games when he was healthy.

He went undrafted.
