ESPN: Duce Staley to interview for NFL coordinator job

According to a report from Tim McManus of ESPN, former South Carolina star running back Duce Staley will interview with Doug Pederson for the vacant offensive coordinator job with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Frank Reich left the job to take the job as Indianapolis Colts head coach. Staley has been with the Eagles since 2011, running backs coach since 2013.

He was part of the staff that won the franchise’s first Super Bowl this season.

The report also says Philadelphia wide receivers coach Mike Groh will interview.

The former Airport High School star ran for 1,852 yards and 17 touchdowns in two seasons in Columbia. He went on to run for 5,785 yards and 24 touchdowns in 10 NFL seasons, three times surpassing 1,000 yards. He spent seven seasons in Philadelphia and then three in Pittsburgh.

His son, Damani, plays for the Gamecocks.
