How USC’s Jamarcus King showed at the NFL combine
Jamarcus King came to South Carolina as a highly regarded recruit and proceeded to have an up-and-down two-year career.
On Monday, he got his chance in front of NFL scouts, and the results were not the best.
King ran an unofficial 4.7-second 40-yard dash. At 6-foot-1, 186 pounds, he was one of the slowest defensive backs to run on the day.
He then pulled out with a hip flexor.

Due to a hip flexor strain I will not participate in the rest of the Combine! Will rehab and get ready for Pro Day. Thanks for all support. #SpursUp

The day before running, he’d talked about what he took from going from junior college to the SEC.
“That transition really wasn’t that hard,” King said. “It was just better talent and bigger receivers. I kind of made the transition really easy, and then I learned after my first year I had to get in the weight room.”

King had 42 tackles, two interceptions and 12 pass break-ups last season.
After the slow run, there were a few reviews popping up online.
Man it's been a brutal pre-draft process for Jamarcus King between Mobile and Indy.
