Soda City Suds Week pairs beer and tacos Tuesday

Soda City Suds Week has begun and Tuesday’s events include a beer/taco combo.

At A Lotta Firkin Tacos, the Whig’s Taco Tuesday gets kicked up a notch as River Rat Brewery, The Frothy Beard Brewing Company, Holy City Brewing and Brewery 85 take over the taps.

The bar will tap a special firkin (a particular kind of keg) filled with cherry wood-smoked rye lager that the four breweries created especially for the event.

4-9 p.m. Tuesday March 22 at The Whig, 1200 Main St.

If tacos aren’t your jam, there’s also a Bike and Brews event with Conquest Brewing from 6-9 p.m. and a Spotlight Series at Craft & Draft showcasing different South Carolina beers. Tuesday is Brewery 85 from 4-9 p.m.
