A new Starbucks has opened in this busy section of Columbia
The coffee is brewing on Rosewood Drive.
Starbucks, the international coffee giant with shops across the Midlands, has opened a new location at 2807 Rosewood Drive in Columbia. The shop opened on July 15, according to an Instagram post from Cason Development Group.
The Starbucks is the first tenant of the Fifth and Sloan mixed-use development that will see apartments and retail businesses opened along Rosewood on either side of Sloan Street, including a host of apartments at the former Rosewood Baptist Church.
The new Starbucks shop is open daily from 5:30 a.m. until 9 p.m., per hours posted on the door. It’s in a busy section of Rosewood, with more than 19,000 cars per day passing by, according to state Department of Transportation data.
There are more than 30 Starbucks stores in the Columbia and Lexington areas, according to a store locator tool on the company’s website. And the coffee giant continues to make moves in the Midlands: There are new locations under construction at 7550 Garners Ferry Road in Columbia and on Longs Pond Road near Interstate 20 in Lexington.
