Search ends for missing Midlands teenager who hadn’t been seen for months, SC police say

The monthslong search for a missing South Carolina teenager has ended, according to the Lexington Police Department.

Lillie Nicole Parker has been found safe and in good health in North Carolina, Police Chief Terrence Green said Monday. Information about when and where in North Carolina that Parker was discovered was not available.

But police said a milestone occurred during the search for Parker, who was publicly reported missing Oct. 28.

Parker was a 17-year-old juvenile when she walked away from her Sunset Boulevard home Oct. 26, police said. She has since had a birthday and is now 18, according to police.

There was no word if Parker was alone when she left her Lexington home, but she left her cellphone behind, police previously reported.

“No information on her whereabouts or intentions were discovered at the time,” police said Monday.

Information about why Parker left South Carolina still was not available, but police said she was located by authorities in North Carolina and her family has been notified.
