Get coffee with The State and tell us what you think of our Chapin coverage
Chapin is a small town. But both the hamlet near the shore of Lake Murray and the area around it are growing. And with that growth comes an ample supply of developments and issues that local residents need to understand.
At The State, we’ve ramped up our coverage of Chapin. Paying attention to a proposed residential development that promises to bring nearly 400 homes into the town of nearly 2,000 people. Following the town’s moves to manage the growth coming its way. And keeping up with efforts to upgrade aging water and sewer infrastructure in the area to meet increasing demands.
And as we continue looking to bolster our coverage in the area, we’re heading to Chapin to hear from our readers about what they think is important.
On Friday, Sept. 5, Lexington County reporters Bristow Marchant, Hannah Wade, and I will be at The Daily Grind Cafe, 908 Chapin Road in Chapin, from noon to 2 p.m. for the first in The State’s new series of Coffeeshop Conversations. We’ll be there to hear what local issues you think need to be covered or covered better, how you think our Chapin reporting can be improved, and to get to know you better.
If you plan to be there, you can let us know here. We look forward to talking with you.
