Hunt over for ‘armed and dangerous’ fugitive, Richland County deputies say

A fugitive who deputies considered armed and dangerous turned himself in Monday, according to a statement from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Harrell Williams, 33, was wanted on charges of attempted armed robbery, attempted murder and weapons violations, according to a statement.

He and partner Amos Hosey were thought to be fleeing the area. Hosey, 39, was arrested Friday at about noon after deputies were tipped off of his location via Crime Stoppers.

Williams turned himself in Monday at about 2:30 p.m., accompanied by his lawyer, according to the statement.

He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Hosey and Williams are accused of shooting at a man during an argument July 13 on English Avenue.
