South Carolina teenager killed in late night shooting, coroner says
A teenager was killed late Saturday night in a shooting, according to the Greenwood County Coroner’s Office.
Zaden Goodman, a 17-year-old Greenwood resident, was identified as the homicide victim, the coroner’s office said Sunday in a news release.
The shooting happened at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday, in the 1100 block of Reynolds Avenue, according to the release. That’s in Greenwood.
Goodman was taken to Self Regional Healthcare where the teenager later died, the coroner’s office said.
No other injuries were reported.
Information about the shooter, or shooters, and how many people were involved, was not available. There was no word on a motive for the gunfire.
No arrests have been reported, but the shooting is being investigated by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division as well as the coroner’s office.
