The betting line for Clemson-Wake Forest and every ACC game this week

The college football season officially kicked off last week, and this week the Power 5 conferences will get underway with the ACC and Big 12 joining in.

The Atlantic Coast Conference is playing an 11-game schedule in this coronavirus-affected 2020 season. There are seven games involving ACC teams this week, beginning with Miami hosting UAB on Thursday at 8 p.m.

The biggest game of the weekend occurs Saturday night when Wake Forest hosts Clemson at 7:30 p.m. ESPN’s College GameDay announced Saturday that it will be in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for the matchup.

Here is the ACC schedule for this week and the betting line for each game:

UAB at Miami, 8 pm Thursday, ACC Network

Miami is listed as a 14-point favorite for its season opener against UAB. The over-under for the game is 50 points. Miami is coming off of a 6-7 season, while UAB is already 1-0 in 2020. The Blazers beat Central Arkansas 45-35 in their first game of the year. Miami added Houston transfer D’Eriq King to its roster this offseason. King will be the starting quarterback for the Hurricanes.

Syracuse at No. 18 North Carolina, noon Saturday, ACC Network

UNC enters the season with high expectations as the Tar Heels are ranked in the top 20 heading into their season opener. North Carolina is a 20.5-point favorite over Syracuse for Saturday’s game. The over-under is 63 points. UNC went 7-6 last season in Mack Brown’s first year and returns one of the top quarterbacks in the league in Sam Howell. Syracuse had a disappointing 2019 season, going 5-7.

Duke at No. 10 Notre Dame, 2:30 pm, NBC

Notre Dame is a member of the ACC this year and is eligible for the ACC championship game. The Fighting Irish are favored by 19.5 points over Duke in their first game. The over-under for the contest is 53.5 points. Notre Dame is coming off of an 11-2 season and is expected to contend with Clemson for the ACC title. Duke has yet to name a starting QB but could be led by Clemson transfer Chase Brice.

Georgia Tech at Florida State, 3:30 pm Saturday, ABC

FSU will host the Yellow Jackets in Mike Norvell’s first game as head coach. The Seminoles are favored by 11 points. The over-under is 54.5. FSU is coming off of a 6-7 season, while Georgia Tech went 3-9 in its first season under Geoff Collins.

Austin Peay at Pitt, 4 pm Saturday, ACC Network

Austin Peay is 0-1 on the year after losing to Central Arkansas in its season opener. There is no line on this game with Austin Peay being an FCS team.

No. 1 Clemson at Wake Forest, 7:30 pm Saturday, ABC

The top-ranked Tigers return Heisman candidates Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne and are currently favored to win the national championship. Clemson is a 32.5-point favorite over Wake Forest in its season opener, with the over-under set at 60.5. Wake Forest lost two of its best players from last year in starting QB Jamie Newman and leading receiver Sage Surratt. Newman transferred following the 2019 season, while Surratt opted out of this year.

Western Kentucky at Louisville, 8 pm Saturday, ACC Network

Louisville was picked to finish fourth in the ACC and appears to be a program on the rise under Scott Satterfield. The Cardinals are favored by 12 points over Western Kentucky in their season opener. The over-under is 56.
