South Carolina losing member of December signing class to transfer
South Carolina freshman lineman Jesus Gibbs has informed Gamecocks head coach Will Muschamp he plans to transfer.
“Jesus Gibbs and I had a conversation yesterday,” Muschamp said Tuesday at his weekly news conference.
Gibbs was considered the 17th-best prospect in the state of Virginia when he signed with the Gamecocks as an offensive lineman in December. However, he was moved to defensive line early in his career. Gibbs has not played this year.
He joins sophomore defensive back Korey Banks in announcing decisions this season to transfer.
