Four-star WR from Pennsylvania commits to South Carolina football
For the second-straight year, South Carolina has landed a four-star wide receiver out of Pennsylvania.
After signing Lex Cyrus in the Class of 2026, the Gamecocks earned a commitment Tuesday from western Pennsylvania receiver Javien Robinson, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
A 6-foot-2, 189-pound prospect from the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Robinson chose USC over Syracuse and Rutgers, which offered the four-star recruit long before South Carolina.
But South Carolina offered Robinson in February and were able to get him on campus for an unofficial visit in April.
“As soon as I stepped down there, it was a cool feeling,” Robinson told Rivals about visiting USC. “That first impression was nice, and our relationships have been growing. As soon as they saw my interest and I took the visit, they turned things up.”
Per the 247Composite rankings, Robinson is the No. 410 player nationally and No. 51 wide receiver in the nation. He’s also a Top-15 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania.
Robinson is also a standout sprinter, holding impressive personal bests in the 100m (11.02 seconds) and 200m 22.11 seconds).
