9 bands – and counting – for free Jam Room Music Festival this fall

Guided by Voices and Hiss Golden Messenger are among headliners for this fall’s Jam Room Music Festival in Columbia.

The free popular festival is set for Oct. 14.

Others in the lineup include NUMBTONGUE, Valley Maker, hearts on fire SC, Bombadil, FatRat Da Czar, The Lovely Few, and Bask. Additional performers will be announced later.

The sixth annual festival, presented jointly by Jam Room Festival and The Whig, is from noon-10 p.m. at 1500 Main St.

Get into the spirit of the event with a benefit at Craft and Draft Pint Night, set for Sept. 27. The Oktoberfest celebration will feature Sierra Nevada, and a portion of event pint will benefit the festival. Craft and Draft is at 2706 Devine St.
