Midlands Media Group purchases 94.3 The Dude and Cola Daily

Midlands Media Group, LLC, has purchased the radio station WWNQ 94.3 The Dude and its companion online newspaper Cola Daily.

The Dude will remain a country music station and Cola Daily will remain a daily news website focused on local news, according to a news release.

Cola Daily produces regular radio updates on the station. Midlands Media plans to expand the Cola Daily news operation with additional reporters and a new website with enhanced features, according to the release.

Midlands Media is led by Columbia residents Kirk Litton and Keith Stover. Their purchase news follows the sale of 92.1 The Palm, which was sold to His Radio, a contemporary Christian music station.
