Relax, Ballentine area. You can get your Chick-fil-A fix once again.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant at 1007 Dutch Fork Road in Irmo recently reopened after being closed since early May for an extensive remodeling. The restaurant, known for its chicken sandwiches, nuggets and more, reopened last weekend.

“What an amazing reopening weekend,” the restaurant said in a June 17 Facebook post. “A big thank you to our community for the support and grace you’ve shown as we learn our new setup and system together! So thankful for all the amazing team members and guests that make up the Chick-fil-A Ballentine family.”

Among the new aspects of the Ballentine-area restaurant is a drive-thru lane specifically for mobile orders.

The remodeled and reopened Chick-fil-A is located along a bustling corridor. About 25,600 cars per day pass down that stretch of Dutch Fork Road, per state Department of Transportation traffic data.

Chick-fil-A, which has more than a dozen restaurants in the Midlands, has been active in updating its local facilities in the last couple years.

For example, the Chick-fil-A at 2299 Augusta Road in West Columbia reopened in May after being closed for three months for a remodeling. And the Chick-fil-A at 294 Harbison Blvd., which was torn down in 2022, was rebuilt and reopened in March.

Also, the Chick-fil-A at 10136 Two Notch Road was recently demolished, and a new version of the restaurant will be built back on-site. Chick-fil-A Inc. has said that the 10136 Two Notch Road location plans to reopen in the fall, assuming there are few delays.

In 2022 the Chick-fil-A at 2600 Decker Blvd. closed and moved to 7515 Two Notch Road, near Interstate 20. And a new Chick-fil-A opened in March 2022 at 5465 Platt Springs Road near Red Bank.
