An upstairs bar is set to be a part of a new food hall coming to a growing Columbia District.

A cocktail bar called Remedy is coming to the Gather COLA food hall that is being prepped at the BullStreet District, according to weekend posts from Gather on social media. While several food vendors had previously been announced for the food hall, this was the first announcement for a bar.

“Remedy is Gather’s new upstairs bar — your go-to for craft cocktails without pretense, served with purpose and speed.,” Gather noted on Facebook. “This isn’t just a bar. It’s a neighborhood experience. A place to connect, to get curious, and to try something new. Whether you’re reaching for a classic or something outside your comfort zone, our team is here to pour you something unforgettable.”

The cocktail bar will be perched above an amphitheater at the site, project officials said.

“We’re excited to bring Remedy to Columbia as part of Gather — a space that shares our passion for community, creativity and local flavor,” Remedy manager Mark Martinho said in a Gather social media post. “Remedy is all about connection; and Gather gives us the perfect platform to serve bold cocktails in a vibrant, open-air setting built for togetherness.”

Construction on Gather COLA is ongoing at the BullStreet District, at the corner of Sabal and Freed streets. That’s near the REI outdoor store and just west of Segra Park.

A number of food and beverage vendors have been announced for Gather COLA. That includes two popular Columbia food trucks that will have a brick-and-mortar presence at the food hall — Mexican favorite Los Chicanos and barbecue spot Smoke It Up. Sandwich shop Bull & Bread and sweet spot Cocobowlz have also been announced as vendors.

Gather COLA, which is an effort from Cason Development, Greenville’s Four Oaks Property Group and BullStreet master developer Hughes Devlopment, is set to have nine restaurant and food vendor spaces. It is also set to feature two bar areas, pop-up areas for micro-retailers, 8,500 square feet of office space across multiple floors and an outdoor gathering area with seating and space for live entertainment.

Four Oaks Property Group previously developed the Gather GVL food hall located on Augusta Street in downtown Greenville. The Greenville food hall, located a short distance from Fluor Field baseball stadium, is home to a host of food vendors, including Cocobowlz, Greenville Beer Exchange, HenDough fried chicken and doughnuts, Mercado Cantina and others.
