A lottery player said she’s “always had a feeling” she would hit the Michigan jackpot.

Then, the 62-year-old player received an email that changed her life — and affirmed her feeling. The Macomb County woman opened the message to learn she had won the $1.72 million jackpot prize.

The amount left her at a loss for words.

“I called my son and daughter-in-law to tell them the news, but I had a hard time getting the words out because I was so stunned,” the woman told lottery officials.

She chose the lucky numbers 04-12-25-33-41-47 for the Sept. 25 Lotto 47 drawing.

“The power of positive thinking paid off for this lucky player,” Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli said of the woman’s “life-changing” prize.

The woman claimed her prize in a lump sum of $1.2 million, lottery officials said. She told officials she wants to use the money to buy a house and help her family.

Macomb County is about a 40-mile drive northeast from downtown Detroit.
