New restaurant encourages Lexington to “come as you are”
MOD Pizza has opened its third Midlands location in the Hobby Lobby-anchored Lexington Marketplace at 5318 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington.
The Seattle-based pizzeria made its first appearance in the Midlands with openings at the Shoppes at Woodhill at the corner of Pelham Drive and Garners Ferry Road and the Shoppes at Two Notch in Northeast Columbia.
In the Lexington Marketplace shopping center, MOD -- or Made on Demand, “fast, casual pizza” -- is located three doors down from the recently opened Tijuana Flats. Hobby Lobby opened in the center in early September. Charleston-based women’s apparel shop Aiden Lane also opened in the center in September. Other stores slated to open in 2018 are The Fresh Market, Ulta, Brain Balance and Lee Nails. Tuesday Morning is also constructing a new Lexington location next door to Hobby Lobby.
MOD offers over 30 pizza toppings, six sauces and seven cheeses to choose from, but the best part is that the price of the pizza stays the same no matter what toppings you pick. The restaurant also serves gourmet create-your-own salads.
MOD Pizza’s Lexington location is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
