Steak sundaes, cinnamon roll pops and other new foods at SC State Fair
So, what will you be eating at the 2016 SC State Fair this year?
In addition to the usual favorites – Elephant Ears, Fiske fries, turkey legs and the like – there are several new foods, according to the fair. Among them:
Fried delights
Birthday cake pops and deep fried mini cinnamon roll pops are among the new deep fried offerings from Carousel Foods.
Sundae specials
These are not your average sundaes but will offer a mix of meats, vegetables, cheese, and other toppings that are sure to delight. Offerings include a shrimp ‘n grits sundae, pulled pork sundae, breakfast sundae and Bayou Bowl sundae. Find them at DeAnna’s Food Concession stand.
New burgers
New burger offerings include a parmesan-crusted burger and quesadilla burger.
A twist on corndogs
This year, the pickled corndog makes its debut. Find it at Daley’s Pronto Pup.
And, back this year...
The S.C. State Fair is once again offering its lunch promotion – but at a new price.
Enter the fair from noon-2 p.m. weekdays with a $10 cash only deposit for an admission ticket. Return to the ticket booth by 2 p.m. for a $10 refund. This year’s price is up from $5 last year.
The 2016 fair runs Oct. 12-23.
