Georgia Bulldogs transfer D-lineman commits to South Carolina football
South Carolina has its second transfer portal addition of 2026.
On Tuesday, On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett reported that Georgia defensive lineman transfer Jordan Thomas has committed to the Gamecocks.
Thomas will enroll at South Carolina with three years of eligibility remaining.
After redshirting in 2024, the 6-foot-5, 315-pound New Jersey produce played in five games for the Bulldogs this past season.
He tallied just two tackles, including a tackle for loss against Austin Peay.
Out of high school, Thomas was a four-star prospect and ranked as the 120th-best recruit in the Class of 2024, per the 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings. He was also the top prospect in the state of New Jersey.
The Gamecocks, along with almost every other program in the SEC, offered Thomas out of high school.
As a transfer, though, 247 Sports downgraded Thomas to a three-star prospect and listed him as the No. 218 prospect in the portal and the 13th-best defensive lineman.
