South Carolina lands yet another offensive lineman from transfer portal
New South Carolina offensive line coach Randy Clements continues to remake the Gamecocks’ O-line room through the transfer portal.
On Sunday, USC landed its sixth transfer offensive lineman with the pledge of Northern Arizona OL Seth Smith.
A 6-foot-6, 285-pound Arizona native, Smith has spent five years at NAU and will enroll at South Carolina with just one year of eligibility remaining.
Smith played sparingly in his first three seasons but has started every game for the Lumberjacks at left tackle over the past two seasons, which amounted to nearly 1,600 combined snaps.
Pro Football Focus gave him a grade of 73.8 for his run blocking and 64.6 in pass blocking. Per PFF, Smith allowed 4 sacks and 20 quarterback hurries last season.
