One can imagine that Shane Beamer will watch the Fourth of July fireworks Saturday night and might think about them as a celebration for what South Carolina pulled off the last four days.

The Gamecocks, whose 2027 recruiting class ranked barely inside the Top-50 nationally at the start of the week, pulled off one of the most impressive recruiting stretches under Beamer, landing four blue-chip prospects in as many days to likely vault inside the Top 25.

After landing five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson (Wednesday), four-star safety Davion Jones (Thursday), four-star offensive lineman Nate Carson (Friday), the Gamecocks finished off their torrid stretch Saturday when four-star edge Jayden Broadie announced his commitment to South Carolina.

Broadie, a Rolesville, North Carolina prospect, chose the Gamecocks over Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Missouri and Virginia Tech.

A 6-foot-3, 235-pound pass rusher, the 247Sports’ Composite Rankings slot Broadie as a Top-450 player and Top-40 edge in America. He’s also ranked as the No. 12 prospect in the Tar Heel State — which means South Carolina has commitments from four of North Carolina’s dozen-best players.

Broadie also becomes the first edge commitment in South Carolina’s 2027 class, a big victory for first-year edge coach Deion Barnes.
