New spots to eat, drink and play: Here’s what came to Columbia and Lexington in 2021

Despite ongoing and widespread economic hardships brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, 2021 appeared to be a banner year for new businesses opening in the Columbia and Lexington areas.

Dozens of new restaurants, stores and businesses offering unique experiences have opened since January.

Here’s a look at many of the new businesses that joined our communities this year. These are just some of the businesses that opened in and around Columbia and Lexington this year.
